It is hard to believe this one isn't going to be my littlest baby for much longer.

13 months
It's hard to believe but our little Cole baby is no longer well...a baby. It's crazy that over the past few weeks since turning 1 he really has begun to grow. He is doing so many more "big boy" things and it really is something new everyday. Just a couple of stats on this beautiful blue eyed blond haired cutie:
Say What?! His vocabulary is steadily growing at a rapid rate. Sometimes it feels like we have a parrot in these here parts.
He is still a tiny little guy in my opinion. I think it's because Braeden was such a little chuck and in the 90th percentile for height and weight. Cole's been hovering around the 50th percentile and growing at a steady rate since he was born. He was just about 28 inches and 22 pounds at his last check up.
His favorite things include playing hide and seek or just hiding. I always find him behind furniture, under chairs, or in the closet. It is the funniest thing because he will actually stay so quiet and still while we call out "where's Cole"? Once we find him he gives a huge smile and sneaky giggle. He also LOVES being outside. He will sit at the back sliding glass doors and look outside and point. Sometimes if we walk past the door while I'm holding him he throws his body in that direction and has a mini tantrum that we aren't heading out. He also loves going through all the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen. Taking things out and putting them back in. I've had a lot of fun searching for all my cooking utensils and not being able to find them. And of course...he loves his brother. I'll always find them playing together, chasing each other, and sometimes even in a sweet embrace. It's been such a fun year watching them grow and turn into such good friends.
It really has been a beautiful year since he has arrived and we have experienced so many things as a family of 4. I feel so grateful for such a kind and wonderful family.

Under The Big Top
Cole's 1st birthday party was a success! The weather was perfect and everyone had a lot of fun celebrating! Guests entered through the "tent" to find, balloons, games, soft pretzels, peanuts, popcorn, burgers, hot dogs, and of course cotton candy! It was such a special day to share with our family and friends.

Happy 1st Birthday
I can't believe a year has gone by since we welcomed you into the world. I remember the day before you were born, I threw a coin into a fountain and made a wish to meet you...there you were the next day. I thought long and hard about what to write to you today and I quickly realized I couldn't possibly put it all here in this little spot. I'll make this short and sweet. Thank you for an amazing year. You have filled our lives with so much happiness and our hearts with so much love. Wishing you the very happiest 1st birthday baby boy!
All my love,
Mom

Almost 1
To my blue eyed, blond haired, little boy:
Today was my due date but you showed up a little late. It's hard to believe in 2 days you will no longer be a baby. I'm going to hold onto these last few moments as long as I can knowing I will never get them back. This year was more beautiful because of you.
Love: Mommy

On the move
It's official...we have a walker! It makes me laugh to see such a little man wobbling around the house these days.

10 months
It happened over a week ago...little man hit the double digits in months. The big 1 is right around the corner and I'm starting to get together ideas for his 1st birthday party. I can't even describe the happiness that Cole has brought us since he has arrived. We smile more, hug more, laugh more, and love more.
Everyday is something new. He can say mama, dad, ball, and what I think is kitty cat. He can walk around while supported and I'm sure his first steps on his own are not too far in the future. He has 6 teeth, 2 on the bottom and 4 up top. Trust me when I say that toothy grin is all you need to brighten up any day. He's been eating lots of new foods and found a serious love for ice cream. He loves looking out the back sliding glass doors making "oooh" sounds. He loves being outside. He loves when we read to him. When he hears music he loves to bounce and dance. He loves bath time and can't wait until we can take him into the pool and ocean. He loves being held, sitting on our laps, or laying next to us. He loves to love, and we love to love him right back.

9 months
Dear Cole,
You are 9 months old today. It also happens to be your great grandmother's 84th birthday. Time goes so quickly when you have children. You will learn that on your own one day. For now we live in the present and enjoy what each day brings. To say that you make us the happiest most thankful parents in the world is an understatement. You really are one amazing little baby. Not only do we love you, you love us back...especially your brother. You adore each other. I love just watching you play together. He loves to make you laugh and you love to chase him around. You boys are best friends and I hope it always stays that way. You have the best smile and the cutest little giggles. Whenever anyone asks me about you I always let them know you are the sweetest little guy with a go with the flow attitude. Except when your hungry and that fiery temper comes out...it's more like feed me now! You have 2 bottom teeth and have 4 more coming in up top. Surprisingly you are still as content as ever. You are on the move and making me nervous and so proud. You've been crawling for a while now and can pull yourself up on the furniture and walk around while holding on to something. Your newest trick is climbing up the stairs and I always find you hiding under your high chair. You love being in the fresh air and without fail a long walk outside turns into a nice long nap. I know you are going to love adventure. You love playing in the bathtub and hate when it's time to get out and get dressed. We go to the doctor on Thursday so I'll have the official stats as far as height, weight, etc...You will also be getting some shots. I know you'll be tough and show your brother he has nothing to be afraid of.
When I was pregnant with you I always wondered what our life would be as a family of 4. Looking back, nothing I ever imagined even comes close to how truly beautiful life really is since you've arrived Happy 9 months little one, you are our sunshine.

6 months
Baby boy is 6 months old today! How has half a year passed already? He is ridiculously cute and smiles non stop. I don't have any current stats to report until next week when we go to the doctors. He has started sitting on his own and loves just being plopped on the ground with his toys. He sleeps from about 8pm-5:30am. When he wakes up he has a serious temper until he gets his breakfast. He loves his jumperoo, laughing at his brother, being outside, peek a boo, listening to stories, music, giving kisses, and snuggling. He is such a sweet little baby. Cole, we love you!

Dear Cole
You are so beautiful. Your dad and I can't stop staring at you and smiling. Amazingly you stare back at us and smile too. You know who we are, know that we love you, and know that we will do anything in the world to keep you safe and happy. You are getting so chubby, your blond hair reminds me of the sun, and those eyes, the same eyes as your mom, are as blue as the sky. We love you.
You are 3 1/2 months old now. You are strong like your brother. You have been reaching for everything and never fails whatever you can get a hold of you put it in your mouth. You are such a smiley little guy and you laugh. Oh, you laugh and it is the sweetest sound I have ever heard. Your brother makes you laugh the most. You were cracking up the other day watching as he bounced around on the family room furniture. I love watching you two grow together, as brothers and as friends. He loves you so much and I can tell you love him too. You love music and being outdoors. You love taking walks and rocking in my arms. You are just so content all the time. You have been sleeping through the night since you were 8 weeks old. It is wonderful and even before that you would just wake up once or twice a night to eat then fall right back asleep.
My little baby...my heart, I love watching you grow everyday. It saddens me how fast this time goes. I try and take all the pictures I can to catch these magical moments and will keep these memories with me forever. You have made us all so happy. Thank you.
Love Always,
Mommy
